Rapides Right to Life (RRTL) works on education, legislation, and service projects to restore the right to life in Rapides Parish and Louisiana by opposing abortion, euthanasia, and other life destroying actions. As the parish's pro-life resource, RRTL, strives to educate all people in the truth about abortion and other life issues. We encourage the work of pregnancy care centers and maternity homes that offer real alternatives to abortion. RRTL promotes pro-life legislation at the State and Federal level and informs our parish people on how their representatives stand for life through our state LARTL web site. RRTL is the official affiliate of the LARTL as well as the National Right to Life Committee, and subscribes to its objectives and legislative strategies. We believe in peaceful solutions to the issues at hand. We are proud to boast of our commitment to life. However, we know there is much more work to be done. RRTL will be lighting the way for the pro-life people in Rapides Parish.
The Pro-Life Calendar of Events was established to educate pro-life people, as well as the public at large, about the many opportunities to develop a Culture of Life in Louisiana as well as in the United States. By publishing the events monthly, groups as well as individuals, can notice the many kinds of activities that can be planned for educating the public, for fundraising, & for helping other pro-life institutions & individuals. The calendar helps people find places they can go to, to learn or share their expertise with others. Ideas and encouragement comes from knowing there are other like minded people throughout the country. Hope for the future is built by knowing of the continuous efforts of pro-life people everywhere.
