O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain forthem the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to bear witness to itresolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, thecivilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. To Protect Life
Loving God, I thank you for the gift of life you gave and continue to give to me and to all of us. Merciful God, I ask your pardon and forgiveness for my own failure and the failure of all people to respect and foster all forms of life in our universe.Gracious God, I pray that with your grace, I and all people will reverence, protect, and promote all life and that we will be especially sensitive to the life of the unborn, the abused, neglected, disabled, and the elderly. I pray, too, that all who make decisions about life in any form will doso with wisdom, love, and courage. Living God, I praise and glorify you as Father, Source of all life, as Son, Savior of our lives, and as Spirit, Sanctifier of our lives. Amen
Prayer For The Helpless Unborn
Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life. Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our word today who are notthinking of motherhood. Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image--as well as theirs -- made for eternal life. Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give thembirth and all the needed care that a mother alone can give. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, on God, forever and ever. Amen
Prayer For The Aborted Babies
Heavenly Father, Thou hast given us the gift of freedom to love and to follow in Thy ways and commands. Some parents choose to abuse this freedom by destroying the gift of life which Thou hast given to their offspring. Please forgive those who destroy human life by abortion their unborn babies. Give these unborn children the opportunity to enjoy Thee for all eternity, if it according to Thy ordinance. Assist me in being one in solidarity with Thy little ones by taking to heart the words of Thy Son, “whatever you did for one of these least brothers of Mine, you did for Me.” (Mt. 25:40) Therefore, allow me today, Father, to adopt spiritually an unborn child and to offer my prayers, works, joys and sufferings for that little one so that child will be able to be born and live for Thy greater honor and glory. We pray this in Jesus’ name, in union with the Holy Spirit one God forever and ever. Amen
Prayer For The Unborn
O Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and earth and all things, you create today millions of human beings who are never permitted to see the light of day because of the sin of abortion. Grant to mankind the wisdom to respect human life at every stage of development. You infuse souls into innocent babies even while still in their mothers’ wombs, their temporary homes. Grant that no one deprive your most innocent ones the privilege of your holy baptism whereby they may be born again to your supernatural life by grace. One soul in Your eyes, Almighty God, is of more value than the whole created universe. Accept the precious blood of Your Son Jesus Christ present on our alters and in tabernacles throughout the world in reparation for the sins of abortive murder. Even before Your Divine Son was born of Mary, dear God, when Your holy Mother greeted Elizabeth shortly after the conception of the Divine Child. Elizabeth asked, “How am I worthy that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?” Long before the birth of the Divine Child the Holy Spirit inspired Elizabeth to call Mary “Mother” and the unborn Child, her “Lord” Almighty God, remove the scourge of abortion from the face of the earth. Miscarriage Prayer
My Lord, the baby is dead! Why, my Lord—dare I ask why? It will not hear the whisper of the wind or see the beauty of its parents’ face—it will not see the beauty of Your creation or the flame of a sunrise. Why, my Lord? “Why, My child—do you ask ‘why’? Well, I will tell you why. You see, the child lives. Instead of the wind he hears the sound of angels singing before My throne. Instead of the beauty that passes he sees everlasting Beauty—he sees My face. He was created and lived a short time so the image of his parents imprinted on his face may stand before Me as their personal intercessor. He knows secrets of heaven unknown to men on earth. He laughs with a special joy that only the innocent possess. My ways are not the ways of man. I create for My Kingdom and each creature fills a place in that Kingdom that could not be filled by another. He was created for My joy and his parents’ merits. He has never seen pain or sin. He has never felt hunger or pain. I breathed a soul into a seed, made it grow and called it forth. I am humbled before you, my Lord, for questioning Your wisdom, goodness, and love. I speak as a fool—forgive me. I acknowledge Your sovereign rights over life and death. I thank You for the life that began for so short a time to enjoy so long an Eternity. Prayer for Dignity of Human Life Lord and giver of all life, help us to value each person, created in love by you. Father, we praise you for the work of your hands. For human life, made in your image, for the gift of your Son who saved our nature, for the power of your Spirit, who fills our hearts, for all you bestow upon us, we praise you, we thank you, we bless you. God Our Father, Giver of life, we entrust the United States of America to Your loving care. You are the rock on which this nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people. Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Remind Your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing Your will. Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our land, grant us, the courage to reject the “culture of death.” Lead us into a new millennium oflife. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Prayer To End Abortion
Lord God, I thank You today for the gift of my life and for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that You have conquered death by the resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice not just for some, but for all, through Christ our Lord. Plea to the Everlasting God for the Preborn
Lord God, our Eternal Father, we come to Thy Throne full of awe and reverence at Thy saving power. Through our Savior Jesus Christ, we beg Thee to help us stop the widespread slaughter of unborn babies in our land. May our love for ourinnocent brothers and sisters closely resemble the love that exists in the Holy Family. Help us provide all human life with protection under our civil laws. All mighty God, giver of all that is good. We thank you for the precious gift of human life. For life in womb, coming from your creative power. Prayer to Abolish the Death Penalty
God of compassion, You let Your rain fall on the just and the unjust. Expand and deepen our hearts so that we may love as You love, even those among us who have caused the greatest pain by taking life. For there is in our land a great cry for vengeance as we fill up death rows and kill the killers in the name of justice, in the name of peace. Jesus, our Brother, You suffered execution at the hands of the state, but You did not let hatred overcome You. Help us to reach out to victims of violence, so that our enduring love may help them heal. You strengthen us in the struggle for justice. Help us to work tirelessly for the abolition of state-sanctioned death and to renew our society in its very heart so that violence will be no more. Amen. Father, all life in in Your care You have entrusted us to one another, that we may show our brothers and sistersthe same love You have for us. We pray, then, for the least among us, the children in the womb. Protect them from the violence of abortion. Mother of Christ, you were graced by God with the privilege of bearing our Divine Savior. You experienced all the joys and challenges fo being a parent. You life was blessed with seeing Jesus grow from infancy and childhood, into his adult years of teaching and ministry. With St. Joseph, you created a home for your family to love and share together.
Please intercede before the God of all life that (here mention names) may conceive a baby and raise healthy children, with whom they can share the Lord's good gifts
