1. The Rapides Right to Life meets at least once a month, usually on the 4th Saturday of the month at 9:15 am unless there is a special reason for a change. (email if you want to make sure.)
2. The meetings usually last at least 1 1/2 hours and sometimes a little longer. If the meeting is planned to be longer, the members will be notified .
3. The meeting agenda is made ahead of time by the President, and the agenda is atheard to as much as possible, with a chance for members to make comments or suggestions,as the meeting continues. Some special guest speakers events will be held the same month on an additional Saturday, at the same time as the meeting, unless notification is made to all members..
Dues:
4. The dues for membership are:$24.00 per .person and $36.00 for the family.
The dues can be paid at the January Meeting , or anytime of the year. If anyone can not afford to pay the whole amount at one time, special arrangements may be made upon request of the treasurer.
We accept cash or checks made out to:" Rapides Right to Life" and turned in at the meeting or mailed to Rapides Right to Life, P.O. Box 14436 Alexandria, La. 71315.
Officers:
5. Our lst year , the officers of the Rapides Right to Life were self designated, the following Jan. 2011, the officers will be reinstated. If anyone wants to resign their office, anyone who wants to take their place, can nominate themselves, and the dues paying members will vote them in, if there is more than one nominee. There is a President, Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer.

6. All who want the news, can read email news, if they have requested to be added to the email list.
Volunteering:
7. Any person who wants to help with any pro-life activity is welcome to volunteer. example: helping with fundraisers (making baked goods) or service projects(collecting baby clothes for single moms)
Volunteers do not have to be members, except
for activities which require training of some kind
or knowledge of some kind. ex. Stubenville Edu. Booth.

Things accomplished or attempted during 2011 at Rapides Right To Life
Events:
1. Pro-Life Rosary starting at 8:15 am with Adoration, and the lst Sat. Mass at 9am. EVERY lst Saturday, thanks to Ellen, Marianne, Donna, & Fr. Ferguson.
2. Ten Rapides Right To Life Meeting at Westside Regional Library in Alexandria, La. at 9:15am every month except (June and Dec.) because of RRTL Conference & busy holidays, only Dec. 12 Our Lady of Guadalupe Event.
3. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 Mass at 6:30 am then Bus Trip leaving at 7am sharp for Baton Rouge, La. after a blessing in the bus from Fr. Ferguson from in front of St. Francis X. Cathedral (in Alexandria, La.) for the lst Louisiana Life March at 10am - 12 noon returning to Cathedral around 4.00pm. Cost $25 per person. We also stopped at Desormeaux Foundation Pregnancy Center, and Maternity Center and Baby & Me Boutique on the way home for a tour and explanation.
5. February, 2011 Our Billboard “Take my hand not my life” was put up on Hwy 28 East. In Pineville, La.
6. Sat. March 5, 2011 King Cake Fundraiser Cup Cakes & King Cake Sale at Mac's Fresh Market on Jackson St. Extension at ll:00 am.
7. March 2011 -Forest Hill Nursery Festival ( Wouldn’t let us have info table this year)
8. April 22, 11 Good Friday Pro-life event with only 2 praying at outside statue of Mary to end abortion at the statue of Mary at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.
9. May 7th, ll Mother's Day "Rose for a Donation Fundraising "Event"
10. June 5, 11 2nd Pro-Life Conference at Westside Regional Library in Alexandria, La. at 10:00 am. to 2:30 pm.
11. June 23 -25 RRTL President going to National Right to Life Conference Jacksonville, Fl.
12. June 26, 11 Education Outreach through Stubenville Retreat for teens.

14. SUNDAY - Sept. 11, 2011 ( 9/11) "Bowling for Babies" at Tiger Lanes on the property of the old England AFB, close to the Alexandria Regional Airport from 12:30-3:00pm. Lunch can be bought there. $6 per ticket or $15 for 3 bowling ticket, both including shoes. A end of the summer back to school FLING. Diapers will be bought for 2 pregnancy centers with profits. Donations will greatfully be accepted.
15. Oct. 4, 20117th annual --Cenla Life Chain-- on the Jackson St. Bridge between Alexandria, and Pineville, La. Posters available for you to use. Just come and pray to end Abortion. Hot- Dog fundraiser lunch is in the planning for 1pm and prayers will end at 3pm.
16. Received 2 boxes (48) of “Lime Five Books”
17. Nov. 5, 2011 Colfax Pecan Festival Parade with Banner with phone number = 1-800- 395-HELP. Look for the Life Guards and the Life Buoy. Info. Table is near the Bank (cancelled info table because not enough people)
18. Saturday Nov. 22, 2011 Fall Bake Sale at Mac’s Fresh Market at 10:00 am (very small amount of baked goods, still raised $46 + later donation. )
19. Nov. 2011 Starting “Cans for Life” Fundraiser to help NRTL Conf.
20. Pro-Life Oratory Registration (only for schools in Rapides Parish)
21. Dec. 12, 2011 Turn in Money for March for Life in Baton Rouge.
Also, Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral at 12:05 Mass and (possibly) make a Life Balloon Rosary to pray lst and then let go into the sky on Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Feast Day. Also plan for shoe box Guardian Angle Christmas Boxes for next Christmas 2012. Gather items during this year.
